Name: Momo / モモ / 桃
Age: ??
Favourite mascot: Tokage / とかげ (Sumikkogurashi)

Known for his adorable expression and signature sakura flower crown, Momo makes up for his small size with a big personality! Quite possibly the most mischievous peach in all of Japan, it's not uncommon to find Momo instigating playful games with both his lovely followers and best friend Hana.

More than stirring up good natured trouble, as the original face of Momohana, Momo loves nothing more than spending his time discovering the latest Japanese character mascot merchandise. With a collection of plushies far greater in size than himself, his wish is to share what he finds with as many people as possible.

Fun fact: the name 'Momohana' came from Momo himself! Literally meaning 'peach flower', it describes his peachy nature and love for his flower crown perfectly.

Name: Hana / ハナ / 花
Age: 19
Favourite mascot: Miffy / ミッフィー (Miffy & Friends)

The newest face of Momohana, Hana is a rather bashful girl from Aomori prefecture. Moving to Tokyo soon after finishing senior high school, she began studying fashion design in Shinjuku and attending alt-fashion meet ups.

Although she dreams of one day starting her own fashion brand, Hana's love for cute things extends to the many kawaii character mascots which can be found across the city. In fact, it was during a shopping trip where she had been trying to find a particular Miffy accessory that she first met Momo!

Enamoured by her peachy style and mutual love for flowers, the two talked for hours about their favourite characters and collections. Their friendship blossomed quickly, and when Momo learned her name, he knew he had to ask her to become a mascot alongside him. Hana accepted at once, and the two have been inseparable ever since.

Fun fact: Hana is known for her Wa Lolita (和ロリ) style of fashion, a substyle which combines the frills and Victorian-era style of lolita with elements of traditional Japanese clothing (usually the kimono). The leaves on her head, attached to a thin band, she wears to match with Momo!

Introducing the official artist for Momohana ... TAPIO!

Before the Momohana rebrand ever came to be, the only idea/direction I'd tentatively decided upon was to give Momo a friend. I'd felt a bit bad for him, this adorable little peach and his flower crown wandering about looking for Japanese character goods all on his own. Inspired by the Vtubing scene and the tendency for human characters to have a familiar, I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce a human mascot to Momohana to complete the duo.

TAPIO was the one to take this vague idea and dream up Hana's adorable design entirely from scratch. Momo received a little makeover of his own, and just like real-world Japanese kawaii characters, Momo and Hana became mascots themselves. TAPIO's lovely and unique art style has since become the basis of all the other stylistic changes that have come since!
