Why use our custom Japanese shipping service?
Lots of reasons! Besides being able to get your hands on products exclusive to domestic sale in Japan, we take care of all the hard stuff for you:
- Tracking down any product(s) you're after (at the cheapest price!) and purchasing them on your behalf
- Filling out customs forms required for import
- Organising international shipping
We'll run through the entire process with you before you commit to anything, answer any questions you may have and accommodate any requests where we can.
The best part is that you'll also be directly supporting Japanese businesses!
How much does this service cost?
It's FREE! We don't charge any extra fees on top of what you would otherwise pay to shop and have products shipped yourself.
If you're based in Australia or New Zealand, you'll also be able to opt into significantly reduced international shipping rates!
Can you explain how the reduced international shipping rates work?
If you're based in Australia or New Zealand, you'll have the option to opt into reduced international shipping rates.
This is made possible by having your items shipped from Japan alongside our usual wholesale orders. These orders are often quite large, so having your items shipped with our stock would only have a small effect on our shipping costs. In comparison, shipping your items on their own, even if small and light, can begin at costs of $30 - $40 AUD. The same items shipped alongside our stock would be FREE to ship!
The downside to shipping your products using this method is having less flexibility with when your products will be shipped. If a product we've ordered on your behalf is ready to ship in March, but our next wholesale order isn't being shipped out until early April, then you would unfortunately have to wait for shipping.
If you need something shipped more urgently, we're happy to go through other shipping options with you.
Can I use this service if I'm not based in Australia or New Zealand?
Yes you can! However, please be aware that the reduced shipping rate option won't be available to you.
While standard international shipping rates will apply, you'll still receive all the other benefits this service has to offer.
What if I initiate the process for this service but change my mind?
No worries at all! The custom Japanese shipping service is obligation free, up until the purchase of the product(s). You're welcome to change your mind for any reason prior to this step.
You'll receive an invoice for any products + shipping only once we confirm that you're happy to go ahead with the order. Any purchases will only be made on your behalf once the invoice is paid and we've confirmed you're absolutely certain you want to proceed.
Can I use this service to have products shipped from Japan that aren't kawaii-related?
While we personally don't have any restrictions on what you can buy and have shipped, there are certain products which may be restricted by courier services into your country or require licenses or age verification to import.
You're welcome to send us a message with what you're looking for regardless; we'll let you know if there's any potential restrictions.
